Since we are in the conference border lands, this is interesting to me. Who would youw ant to watch your team play every year if there were no conferences?

Fill out a 10 game schedule, if conferences didn't exist:

Texas
Texas A&M
Oklahoma State
LSU
Tennessee
Ole Miss
Arkansas State
Colorado
Miami
Nebraska

9 real games and some filler maybe

A&M
Alabama
Arkansas
Auburn
Florida
UGA
Tenn
Texas
USC

It's probably too hard - make one of those the bowl game opponent

Why would want to play an irrelevant team like Auburn?

Assuming there were no conferences and seasons were only 10 games long, I would want to play in no particular order:

Florida
Tennessee
Georgia Tech
Kentucky
South Carolina
Vanderbilt
Auburn
Clemson
Georgia Southern
Florida State

Clemson
UGA
GT
UNC
NC State
UVA
VT
AU
FSU
UT

Geographically, and some of those historically, would make the most sense to me

I can't believe no other SEC fan put Notre Dame....especially LSU. We have somewhat of a history with them.

Which is who we have most historically played even through our years of being independent. We've actually been in the SEC now longer than the ACC but still have played ACC opponents 208 more times than SEC opponents (according to cfbdatawarehouse)
We also have played VT a decent amount of times prior to either being in the SEC or ACC.

Not on the road though.
