Herschel- 3 SEC titles, 1 National Championship
Bo Jackson- 1 SEC title, 0 National Championships
Bo knows Bo is second greatest SEC player ever after Herschel.

We said best player, not best player on best team. Herschel was so good he got drafted in the 5th round and bounced from team to team in his career. Bo shouldn't be discounted because his team wasn't as successful as Herschel's.

Bo....played 2 sports very well, making him the best overall player
As a Bama fan all my life... Gotta say, growing up, Bo was my favorite player as a pro... the Raiders, the Royals. Had everyone of his cards I could get my hands on. Bo knows...

Does anyone know the recruitment story of Bo Jackson?
Did Alabama offer and did that almost get him?
Look him up on Rivals?

Bo Jackson- "I was always an Alabama fan growing up, but when the Alabama recruiter told me I would probably not be able to play until the end of my sophomore year, or the beginning of my junior year. I said to him in a not so polite way—screw you."

Man, Tebow? Really? Either Bo or Herschel or nothing at all.

He is the only Sophmore to win a Heisman and has 2 NC rings? and a pretty impressive overall W/L record.

And he cried, a couple of times. Why is an SC fan taking up for him? Come on, comparing Tebow to Bo and Herschel, come one.

Didn't Tebow break his TD rush record?
Just throwing that out there..

Because CU the team I hate and will ruthlessly tear down any accomplishment I hear from them. Outside of that I really have no serious ill-will towards any other team or school (every once in a while maybe UNC) So I have no problem defending Tebow's obvious accomplishments.

I don't see how its just Bo or Herschel. For one thing, with Bo, if were just saying who's the best football player ever then all that other stuff doesn't matter, best athlete ever, sure, but best football player ever is far more debatable.
Tebow deserves to be in the argument. Things like this tend to be offense only but Derrick Thomas' stats are so far off the charts its absurd, 27 sacks in one year would be the record if sack records were official from that time period and 52 for his career is 8 more than Terrell Suggs who's the official record holder, and 16 more than the SEC runner up in Pollack. Peyton also deserves to be in the argument and would actually probably be my choice.

Indeed, Tebow did, but he is a project for NFL teams, now. He had to reconstruct his throwing motion, to have a higher and quicker delivery. Different positions, but Bo and Herschel were natural at their position. No comparison at all.
Tebow ran the spread option at Florida, he was a tailback as much as he was a quarterback. Florida just has way more talent than anyone in the SEC East, thats why ya'll keep getting your asses kicked.
