Who pisses away the most resources, talent, funds, etc?

My vote goes to Georgia.

I was gonna say Arkansas football, but they're basically supposed to be a perennial 4-4 SEC program. So I'll go with Georgia. They should not have been owned so badly by Florida in the last 20 years, and they should have squeezed out a national title or two in the past 28 years.

The correct answer is Florida. People get so tied down to recent history, when we're talking about HISTORY here. Like...since 1933 I'm assuming since SEC play started. Florida didn't win a thing until spurrier got there. And let's not forget UGA football is a top 12 or so program of all time. Look at the big picture please people instead of just looking for an excuse to rag on something. With the hotbed of talent florida is, and considering FSU was a girl's college until the 70s I think, Florida should've been dominating long before they actually started to.

Most underachieving sports program in the SEC is definitely not UGA. Definitely the most underachieving basketball team in the last 6-8 years. And the most underachieving football team in the last 4. But not overall sports program.

As a guy who grew up a Tennessee fan, believe it or not, I would have to say the most underachieving football program, given its resources, in the 2000's has been UT.

Recently? Ole Miss. I mean really recent, though.

Every damned year, it's "OLE MISS IS GOING TO DESTROY ANYTHING THAT GETS WITHIN 9 FEET OF THEM", then they take a big ol' deuce on the field and everyone feels like an arse for believing the hype.

Guys, it's Alabama. They went 12-28 over the course of five years before suspiciously winning 26 over the past two. Given their history in the past 20 years, it is likely that there is foul play behind all of this.

It si def not Florida. Their sucess and the huge number of great recruits is a direct corrolation to the population boom in the last 30 years. Prior to that, Florida was a very sparesly populated state on the edge of the country.

For the OP's question, it is UGA. They have some of the finest high school players intheir state to choose from, low academic standards compared to the other school in the state, and excellent facilities, average 10 wins a year, and have little to show for it.

If you're talking about all sports, Bama has not done as well as we probably could have done. But, if your talking about state population, monetary resources, and the entire history from a program's inception, I'd say Florida and Georgia are pretty even.
