Since 2007, these are the number of SEC games played when the opponent had an open week prior to the game:

17—Alabama

5—LSU

4—Vanderbilt

4—Florida

4—Tennessee

3—Georgia

3—Auburn

2—Kentucky

1—Ole Miss

1—Mississippi State

0—Arkansas

0—South Carolina

I hate that the SEC offices are always catering to Alabama

Over the last 3 years LSU has been called for a ton more penalties in the LSU-Bama game. It is complete bs. It is not possible for a power running team to never be called for holding. So GTFO!

Judging by your list, looks like L$U ought to hire more lobbyists, or pay those they have much better, if they want to close the gap with Alabama.

Also, its plainly obvious that the SEC office MADE Les Miles screw up the clock management at the end of the Ole Miss game last year...OBVIOUS!!

Or maybe, and this is a little off the wall for this board, but MAYBE it all comes down to coaching ability...how to hold and get position without getting caught...where and when to call a timeout...what call to make in a fourth down situation...what call to make in a hurry up offense...how many timeouts do I have....do I have to use one on a change of possession....

You know, just skills....not conspiracy.

Actually, a pass-first team is much more likely to get called for holding. You get called for holding in pass protection more than you do on a run play.

But I will admit that Bama's streak without a holding penalty is pretty spectacular. Saban teaches proper holding technique.

considering Les Miles laid back manner this doesnt surprise me. If my memory serves me correctly Saban teams are usually very disciplined and not very penalized and I believe the same was true when he was at LSU. Hasnt this ben the argument for those that dislike Miles at LSU? He is too soft.
