Was the ONLY QB in the nation who threw at least 75 second-half passes in the 2009 season without being intercepted. McElroy passed almost exactly twice as many times in the first halves of games as he did in the second halves, but had a higher passer-efficiency rating in the second halves. In the first halves of games this season, McElroy completed 128 of 217 passes for 1,575 yards and eight TDs with four interceptions -- an efficiency rating of 128.43. In the second half, McElroy was 70-of-108 for 933 yards and nine TDs with no interceptions -- an efficiency rating of 164.88.
His 4 Interceptions thrown in 325 passes in 2009 gave the Crimson Tide QB the second-lowest interception ratio for any player in SEC history who threw at least 200 passes in a season. McElroy was intercepted every 80.2 passes this season, second in the conference record book to Tennessee's Peyton Manning, who had four of his 380 passes intercepted in 1995.
He completed 60.9% of his passes, an Alabama single-season record. McElroy was 198-of-325 in 2009. McElroy broke the record of 60.5 percent set by Gary Hollingsworth in 1989, when he went 205-of-339.

He did have that pick vs. LSU in the second half until the Buffalo Wild Wings crowd "persuaded" the ref.............

Precisely. And it's actually "indisputable video evidence"... not "picture evidence". McElroy reigns supreme.

Lil man there is a video on youtube that shows different angles of that "interception" the reason it was ruled that is because number 8 put both his hands on the ball with his left foot out of bounds making it a dead ball... Its in the rules read up on it and you will see. I thought it was a interception as well but with Jones hands on it and him out of bounds makes it a dead ball.

is a QB that is preventing Alabama from reaching its full potential. I can't wait until AJ McCarron or Phillip Sims takes over the reins in 2011.

He pretty much beat Auburn single handedly. Ingram was held to 38(ish?) yards rushing.

Amazing that he threw almost twice as many first half passes than second half, yet he threw more than half of his TDs in the second half.
