Didn't Auburn pull the top guy out of LA this year? If Auburn can do it, why not Bama?

Trovon Reed was looking for a new start after his mother passed away, and he felt he could do that at AU and not LSU.

In the end we almost turned him back.

FTR he needs to wash the cheetos out of his hair

we're not saying other teams can't get our top talent every once in a while. Just not Bama

Recruits can either choose to go win championships under Saban, or watch the game slip away as the clock expires under Miles.

Their decision.

Also do you really think Bama will be able to pull top talent out of Louisiana?

What I do know is that LSU's fans will claim they never wanted any kid that Saban DOES pull out of Louisiana...take that to the proverbial bank.

Sure, every school has a segment of the fanbase (the retards) who do this...but since I've been on this site I've NEVER seen an LSU fan say "Boy, I hate that we didn't get that kid"...instead I see lots of talk about "noncomittable offers" and "already being too deep at a position".

LSU fans can say and spin it how ever they want but LSU DID want Luther Davis, Sentimore and Kenny Bell. FWIW, the one on Bama's team they did not want ,Eddie Lacy ,will be the one that the will wish they got.

Oh yea, and none of these kids are JC kids ,correct?

It makes one scratch their head how Lacy was able to "qualify" at Bama. He was such a grades/character risk that nobody else even recruited him.

Did Robby Green go to JC? You LSU fans are naive and ignorant if you think we cant pull top talent out of the state.

some? yes. but if you were to compare the average rating of Louisiana recruits that Bama gets against those that LSU signs, guaranteed LSU wins that contest every time.

More to that story. LSU had Davis and Hunter committed, both being viewed as > Reed. In the end it backfired and we got none of the above.

To the OPs original question -- Of course Bama will pull some talent out of LA. Maybe not consistently but it can and will happen.

I've posted on Lacy a few times, fwiw I graduated with him. He's a horrible student with no drive that skates by and knows he'll get the grades he needs and has no respect for the rest of the team. He's the kind of guy that will say he can do it without an offensive line. Good luck with him you see how smart he is. He went to a college that already has too bad arse running backs. One of which also being a freshman. Lacy is not a person you can use sorry. IMO he's the next RP just at a different school.

This just sounds like sour grapes. From everything I have heard Lacy is doing very well and will get significant playing time this year. One Bama coach was qouted as saying he was a Richardson/Ingram blend. If he turns out to be half that, he will be a stud.

Your not understanding what I'm saying. I'm not questioning his talent. Dutchtown Highschool Class of 2009 was I believe 396 students. Lacy was 380. Yet he got into Alabama? Yall are relying on that. I'm curios of how someone that failed geometry with a 20 F is at a college of that caliber. O and for the record he bragged about failing the classes and still being able to play football and get recruited. What a show of character. You've got a winner there.
