Obviously you don't know your football history. Auburn has been playing football longer than your team has. Don't believe me? Look it up.
So has Rutgers, but it doesn't make them any more relevant in the grand scheme of things.
Specifically, my comment about 'being built around Alabama' was in regards to your celebration of not being blown out in the IB almost-win, your ejaculatory response to not winning a recruiting MNC but finishing ahead of Alabama, how the 6 year streak is what AU is known for, how AU's success isn't measured by national championships but IB victories over an arbitrary time frame, how your AD schedules 11 straight grueling weeks of play so you can be freshest for the IB, how your fans sing 'to be an Auburn tiger' to drown out Rammer Jammer, and on and on and on.
That's all you believe and know about the "entire history of Auburn football?" Incredible.
You said: *Auburn's entire history is built around Alabama" Auburn's football history started in 1892 against the University of Georgia. On that day there was no such thing as Alabama football.

Point again is we will never know who was better.
Actually we do, Bammer. If Colt McCoy was the only prayer Tejas had, they should have never let him run the ball and get molested by that big Bammer Dlineman. I actually thought that Dareus was gonna frick McCoy after that hit.

That's the thing. If McCoy doesn't run the whole game, then Texas again has no a chance. Those aubies want McCoy both run AND not being hurt at the same time. Well, when you run against those pussy big12 defenses, I guess that's possible.

What was it that Spurrier called MACK and his brother? "The loser brothers"
Like SOS should fricking talk. He has just as many NC and unlike Brown he was extremely lucky to get his. Brown's record at UNC is way better than anything SOS has done at USCe.

Auburn has been playing football a full year longer than Alabama and are 115 wins behind them. Well done indeed.

Here's a new take on things. Nice to see facts thrown around here.

He needs to quit being such a little count, get over it, and accept the fact that Alabama WAS the better team, Colt or no Colt.

WTF is a "count"? He wasn't whining about losing. He was just saying it's a tough loss to swallow because he believed in his team. He said what any other coach would say, and what fans should expect their coach to say.

I agree with the above poster. If Alabama had lost the game I'm sure it would be a loss that Saban and the players would have never forgotten. To come so far and get so close to winning it all before having your dreams destroyed in the final seconds would be enough to send me over the edge as well. Cut Mack Brown some slack. He's a good guy.

No shite man
I know it killed me to get spanked by Bama in the SECCG, and I'm sure it hurt Bama fans the year before to go in and get beat by Florida. As fans it even takes a long time to get over games, depending on how much you're invested into your team. It hurts when you think your team was the better team, which all fans typically do And of course coaches are gonna think that. What do some people expect Mack to say?

No. Mac Brown wants the world to know that if McCoy had played, Texas wins. He is wrong... After Alabama lost to Florida in 2008, Saban didn't bitch about it to the media 2 months later. He prepared the team to whoop their arse in 2009...

What exactly was Saban's game plan that was working so well? It was about to be 14 to 0, and Saban's gameplan was about to be in big trouble is what I think. You just never know, and that is what sucks about that game. We were robbed of seeing who was better when McCoy went down.
McCoy went out before Texas ever scored. So at what point was it about to be 14-0?
You can call it a robbery, tainted, undeserved, whatever you want...but the fact is that Bama is the reason Colt McCoy left the game. They caused his injury. They created their own opportunity and Texas saved face by scoring some points when Bama was holding back. Good for them...but the fact remains that Bama proved they were the better team by winning.
Win physically. That's what Bama does. Get over it.

Yeah I don't think Alabama ever let up. Greg McElroy wasn't 100% and Saban knew Bama had to win with defense and the running game. It may have appeared Alabama "let up", but true be told the way they played WAS their game plan...
