I feel for the guy but recruits will have to get assurance that he will be there for four years.
Other coaches in SEC are circling the wagons, game on Urban! Get well, SEC competition is not going away.

The only issue is that Florida as a program is too strong for the weakening to have much effect - on an absolute scale it would be like moving from 98% to say 95%.

From the early 90s onwards they have had no problems in loading and reloading.

Damn you SOS!

The diagnosis changed. It turns out he was heart broken because Tebow didn't return his butterfly kiss in Tiger Stadium.

I think you could be right to some degree. I wasn't going to bring this up, but you posted this on Tiger Rant so I will. I still think there are a good number of coaches who could have done at LSU what Les has the last 2 years. How does this Meyer incident have a big impact on LSU? I don't think it does. I think a Florida assistant can out coach Miles.

We'll see. Honestly, a Gator team will have to go 6-6 before I believe Meyer hosed the program. I will agree though that this adds some uncertainty to the program—sort of a watered down version of Bowden/Fisher at FSU. If Meyer isn't back at HC in 2011, then the situation could get weird. As for 2010, I look at it as Adazzio is the figurehead HC, Meyer is recuperating and keeping his hand in the program, and the public line is "this is a one-year hiatus for Meyer, he'll be the HC in 2011." We'll see.

You shouldn't have brought it up in anycase even if it is the fricking rant.

WTF is wrong with you - the discussion and the thread clearly states that - is about what Urban did this weekend and how it affects his program ->Florida.

Why the hell would you jump on your soapbox about Miles in this thread!!! Don't derail every fricking thread by your dumb horse blinders narrow vision.

Saban and the "gumps" did this to the poor man, if you don't think so just go to their sites, Saban has already gotten 6 SEC coaches run off, with only 5 more to go. Watch your back Les.........

Yeah Florida with better recruiting, a coach with 2 BCS titles, great at Xs and Os and greater resources is feeling threatened by Saban being at Bama. OK

Auburn did make those NC Rings in 2004 - that should count for something!

I think all this Urban Meyer garbage is a bunch of bullshite. I say he pulls a Saban and bolts for the NFL with Tebow.
