I just caught that, too. I had heard a few different possible conditions it could be, but you know how rumors get around ;)

It's got to be something bigger than just a defect.

well defects can lead to worse stuff. Coaching is pretty stressful and wouldn't help his condition.

Prayers to him. I know Florida fans are so sad about this and they are losing a great coach, but the man has to take care of himself and knows what is best for him.

Does anyone know anything about heart muscle defects? I don't know much about them.

It could almost be anything with that wording.. from a weak wall in it to a heart valve. It's pretty ambiguously worded. In any case.. I'm sure stress isn't good for the situation. It also makes me wonder if his overnight hospital stay was a little bit more problematic than first let on.

a lot of valve issues are just annoyances

im guessing this is something more along the lines of a defect that could cause possible deterioration without the proper precautions

he has been having this

doesnt seem like a serious enough issue to keep him from coaching as far as prognosis is concerned

Cardiomyopathy, perhaps?

Valve defects can be surgically repaired...not easy surgery, but pretty common...sounds like something other than that.

im pretty sure a majority of valve defects dont even require surgery...they just cause a slight annoyance like prolapse or something

i dont know anything about serious valve issues
