I wish you happiness Urban and hope all goes well. You have been a tough thorn to SEC teams since you arrived. You accomplished much and FL will surely miss you. The rest of the SEC not so much. Good Luck to You

Do you guys think that he is leaving because of exhaustion?

It's all speculation until they release add'l info, but how many times have we heard of someone going into the hospital and they find something that's serious and unrelated to the initial reason for the hospitalization.

I hope this isn't anything serious with his prior health history.

On a lighter note, a commenter from ESPN:

A source close to the situation, whom asks to remain anonymous stated, "Urban Meyer will be announced as the new LSU Football Head Coach immediately following LSU's Capital One Bowl Game."

First, I hope that he fully recovers from what ever is ailing him and wish him the best. Second, he is a great coach and I hate to see the sec lose him as he added a tremendous amount of good publicity(national media loves him) and he fielded some great team at Uf. 3rd Florida will get a top notch coach, I'm sure, but you think Brian Kelly might be wondering why the frick could this have not happened a few weeks ago. Lol.

Godspeed Urban!

Brian Kelly + Florida's talent =

Urban is a great coach, but I think Kelly would score 60 points a game with Brantley next year.

If I had the choice, I would hire the TCU coach for Florida.

is Florida going to get someone good to come in knowing that anytime Urban wanted to come back he could unless the new guy is winning National Titles?

His "health reasons" take all the fun out of making fun of him for leaving.

This is really kind of a shame. College football is always better with better adversaries.

It's possible someone misspelled "health" and accidentally accepted the wrong spellchecker suggestion, and poof! New internet rumor. Forty-five is pretty young.

Wow just coming back from the Bar 87 grill and casino in Montana and heard the breaking news on ABC Sports news. Surely Urban Meyer and the Gator Nation are in this Tigers' prayers. I am not such an idiot to wish any badness on our competitors. What a heck of a run, 2 national championships in 5 years , an excellent coach and recruiter and excellent competitor. Certainly will be missed. Geaux Gators and

Sad to see him go, he was/is a great coach and I wish him and his family well. I hope his health problems get better.
