do we start to hear "he can't win the big one"? I believe this was the mind set of the Mich St fans when Saban took the LSU job right? He has done a tremendous job at Bama, but I see a flame out on the horizon. Just my opinion.

yes, if you don't consider LSU to be a big game anymore, I guess you can say that.
I mean he's beat LSU two years in a row and I'll bet up to $1,000 right now if you're willing to give me Bama straight up in Baton Rouge.

Bama fans should just be happy that Shula is not their coach. They are way better off now. Enjoy it while it lasts

This thread belongs in the SEC Rant.

if he loses to Fl, he still has no SEC championship at Bama despite 2 12-0 seasons.

OK, all of you Staunch Defenders of Coach Miles. Here is your chance to take an easy grand off of this poor misguided soul who says that Saban's Bama team in Year Four will beat Miles's LSU team in Baton Rouge for three wins in a row in 2010.
What? No takers? Hmmmm. Why am I not surprised?

During his tenure at MSU, he beat #1 ranked Ohio State (1998), and beat Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State in 1999.

I would take a 7-5, 8-4 season for a few years if I could have a national title every 4 or 5 years.

I understand that superman, but the MSU fans told us when we got him that he couldn't win the big one, that was their perspective.

Driven by fear and envy.

LSU fans were saying "Nick who?" when we got him. The only thing we knew of him was Dinardo and K Faulk whipping him in the Indy bowl one year.

I like how you say that there are no takers in the same post that you offer up the bet...as if someone actually had a chance to take you up on it.
BTW, I would not take that bet...

No fear or envy here, as a matter of fact I think more of his coaching abilities now then I did while he was at LSU. I thought him a great recruiter but only a good coach. Now I see him as both, but I do see a burnout in the near future, just watch his sideline antics.

Yes you'll hear it. But it won't be from Bama fans. Just butt sore losers like your fan base.

Chicken needs to add a Nicky Rant just for them and the Bammers who also worship him.

Totally agree. You have to realize, this man is under incredible pressure.
