SIAP, but a couple of notes from Chizik's Saturday teleconference with regard to recruiting.
On recruiting..."We've been meeting with our recruits all last night and this morning. It's overwhelming the response their parents and they have felt by our fan base -- just everything from Tiger Walk to the game atmosphere to the way (fans) stayed after the game."
On doing in-home visits this week..."There's a possiblity of that. I'm going to get in homes as quick as i can, as long as it makes sense. Everythign's about strategically planning, and it's all about timing."
Nice to see a coach who is focusing on recruiting and not duck hunting after the final regular season whistle sounds.
I know the next couple of years will still be an uphill battle, but I think with the sheer number of reruits on the sidelines before the game yesterday, and the effort Auburn showed on the field, it bodes well for February and in the future. Another showing like in the IB last year and this good 2010 that is being assembled could have started coming apart.

I wonder if you can hold on to Shon Coleman. He's looking around it seems, and you guys need him badly.

They got Coleman wrapped up. Only a matter of time until Chiz starts cutting into Saban's catch.

Worry about your idiot coach and his recruiting, dickhead.

If Coleman sticks with Auburn, he starts next year IMO

No way in hell chiz starts taking recruits from saban. Saban has bama on lock. What's chiz gonna say? "if you want to almost beat bama come to auburn!"

Saban isn't dominating the state like he has the past two years. It's almost dead even right now

Chiz will slowly erode Bama's haul. Of that I have no doubt.

You don't know anything about the recruiting dynamic in Alabama.
Saban had the state on lock the past two years. Now Auburn is making strong pushes back.

Or maybe Saban is reaching out of state for top players in his class.
2011 will be the year to watch, it is shaping up rival the previous 2 state classes...

im guessing more along the lines of "with 72 scholarship players and 3 linebackers look how close we came...just think of how good we will do with you here"

Talent is down in Alabama this year. Bama is reaching out of state more.

Give me a reason to why it's false? Bama's top recruits commited are from the likes of NC, VA, and TX.
Trust me, next will be a big year instate, and Bama will get the big names in 2011...

Chizik is already cutting into dinky's base...

He has already taken a couple of recruits that Bama poured a ton of pressure on to go to Bama. Bama will in general get the lion's share of in state talent but AU will get its fair share and will still mine Georgia and Florida heavily.

wtf? You people amaze me.
I was just saying that Chizik is actually getting some players in state compared to Tuberville in his last couple of years

Alabama is getting so deep, recruits don't see playing time in the near future. That's what happens when you have back-to-back #1 recruiting classes.
This year's class will be the last one where the kids have a chance to play early. After this one .. expect to redshirt.

There is a big difference between AL talent of last year and this year. The talent in AL is down this year compared to the last two years.
