That must have gone into decision to suspend him.

Urban Meyer was getting ripped apart on the radio here in Dallas today...and they usually don't talk much college ball here.

Did you hear what Tebow had to say on the situation? He explained it away by saying that Spikes didn't do anything "that they weren't doing to us." I thought Tebow was the ultimate Christian and role model I thought the Christian way was to forgive and taught against revenge? I dunno, Tebow's a hypocrite.

What's up with that Tebow an eye for an eye?
Half game suspension by Meyer that is not a punishment. That was a pure assalt. Spikes should be out for the rest of year.

Theoretically the running back could press charges with a good enough lawyer, don't expect that to happen though

Bad shite happens in football at the bottom of piles and all over the field. I had a guy about try to break my neck once twisting on it. Damn near broke my hand punching him in the ear hole of his helmet the next play. If cameras caught everything that went on, pussies would probably try to make the game of football illegal.

Not saying it is right but I have seen and been involved in worse many times playing the game. Like it or not, it is part of it and Tebow I am sure is right that it is no worse than what UGA players were doing to them.

So get off your high horses yapping about Tebow.

For what it's worth even Finescum says the a-hole should be suspended for regular season.

Doesn't make it right or ok. It was a pussy arse bushleague thing to do. The whole thing is really fricked up. Dez Bryant is suspended the rest of the season for talking to Deon, Blount from Oregon was provoked by a douchebag who couldn't go about his win in a humble manner, so he punched him in the jaw, and Spikes tries to injure another player and was caught doing it and gets suspended for the first half of a game. That doesn't add up. Urban Meyer and Spikes are both pussies.

Well played...

And regardless if it's normal or not (however, I feel that deliberate eye gouging isn't normal). The fact that it was caught on camera and spread like wildfire means action had to be taken. Two quarters against Vanderbilt is not action. Spikes knows this, Florida knows this, Urban knows this and the SEC knows this

Obviously the eye gouging thing by Spikes was no big deal. If he had in fact caused Ealey to go blind, Jesus...I mean Tebow would have simply just cured his blindness. No harm, no foul...hence the light punishment. Its not so hard to understand.

Well, he promised Spikes that after the season, he could have some little 8-12 year old little Phillipino boys lick his sins away from him and be all better.........

Very true statement. If you are on the bottom of a pile, then you will get pinched, poked, gouged, etc. Part of football.

Suspension for the regular season seems a little ridiculous to me. I mean, yeah, this kind of crap does happen. Still, to just outright defend it like it's doing nothing wrong is also just as ridiculous.
