A friend of mine just gave me this statistic. I know we havent played them very often, but the fact that they have lost their last 4 games in Starkville give me some confidence that we could pull the monumental upset vs the Gators this Sat.

This fact, along with $.75, will get a Coke.

Does any other SEC team have this good of a streak against Florida at home?

I'm not sure you can call 4 games over a 20+ year period a streak.

MSU has one advantage other SEC coaches dont have in that our HC Dan Mullen used to be the OC at Florida and knows a lots about Florida and that will give us a figters chance in this game as well.

The four game streak has nothing to do with this game coming up. We don't have an SEC-caliber QB and Florida probably has the best QB in the country. We might make this a close game for a while if our running game helps out. If by chance we do win, it would require a mistake-free game by Tyson Lee (extremely unlikely) and a monster game from Dixon.

Actually, State won the 1986 game--Felker's first season as head coach. Started out 6-1 before a brutal 4 game losing streak to end the season.

I tried to be as nice and sympathetic as I could when I posted that.

By an average score of like 35 - 7 if I recall correctly. Seems like we also beat UT in Starkville that year.

ETA: Just looked it up. We played UT in Knoxville that year but did beat them.

I appreciate that. I had a friend that went to the State-LSU game in Jackson that year. I was jealous until the end of the 1st quarter. I thought Don Smith hung the moon until that game. Although, he is still one of the best QBs we have had. He had an unbelievable run against UT that year.
