there's no such thing as a "shoe in"... LSU clearly showed a real defense. i only hope their same offense shows up against bama.

I've always said that LSU is close to being a top 5 team this year. If, by some miracle, the Oline improves...LSU will win out. After watching Bama play, the only way to beat Bama is with depth. LSU has the depth, but if our Oline keeps playing the way they have, you will have nothing to worry about. We have a ton of playmakers on offense, we just can't get them the ball....Or we just don't give them the ball I should say

Of course LSU can compete - they've got enormous talent, one of the best groups in college football. The problem is Les Miles. If I was an LSU fan, and I'm not, I'd be disgusted with the waste of talent by Les. The roster is full of 3*,4*, and 5* players playing like they're in a pick up game - no discipline, no tactical game plan, no comprehensive strategy. LSU is truly a waste of talent under Miles. This doesn't mean they can't beat very good teams. Any team with the talent LSU has can beat anybody if a few breaks go their way. I don't like to watch LSU because they play to Miles retarded football IQ. LSU only lost by 10 but they never gave Florida a scare of any kind - they were predictable and presented zero offensive surprises or adjustments. Miles says this is his best offensive line. If that's the case I'd be very worried if I was an LSU fan, which I'm not.

Miles' problem is that he's too loyal to juniors and seniors. The offense wasn't doing anything last night, why not try to run with Shepard? Why not bring in Randle? I guess a big part is the Oline is terrible......But It's like these young players we have will make a great play or even a few great plays, then we never hear from them again.

Don't know why he said that, this is clearly the worst Oline LSU has had in years.

i realize streaks dont mean a whole lot, especially after florida came in and broke our night-game streak..

but

Bama hasn't beat LSU in Tuscaloosa since 1999.

like others have said, i think our defense is geared toward an offense like bamas. so i think we can hold them down point-wise...just a matter of can we get the offense rolling. think it'll be a close one...can't decide on a winner for sure though...probably the tigers but only because i'm an LSU fan...not because i'm convinced we are truely and overall a better team than bama. of course, we need to get through auburn first...which i think we should with relative ease.

Why not bring in Randle

they did but Lafell and Toliver couldnt get open why would a freshman be able to Fla sec is extremely good. Outside of the one cupcake we have left JJ wont get 500 yds receiving on the yr. He is tripple teamed(occasionally) and double teamed every play and for some reason McElroy who has thrown to every receiver we have and kept going to JJ with Peak open over the middle.

LSU just played its toughest match-up in Florida. LSU's D can handle Bama's O.

But like its been said several times, LSU's O will struggle with Bama's D.

I see that game as a push, or slight adv. to Bama being at home.

Fail

They were open, several times. Replays showed it. QB can't see the field.

Before 2008:
Bama hadn't beaten LSU since 2002. Bama hadn't beaten AU since 2001 and hadn't beaten AU in BDS.

Before 2000 LSU had not beaten Bama in TS since 1969.

Streaks are meant to be broken.

Yeah I was pissed when LSU won in 2000 and stole my ability to pull the "Tide can't lose in Baton Rouge" card anymore.

Because LSU's offense consistently struggles to score any team has a chance to beat them. When you regularly score low you are always a few mistakes away from losing.

LOL! All Florida did was run straight at you. They ran the dive play 35 times for 200 yards. Alabama has better running backs than Florida. Do you think Saban won't watch the replay? LSUs D looked horrible against the run - and I assume they thought they were ready for it. [I think] Alabama will have a more productive day that Florida did - more rushing yards and more passing yards. LSU has the talent - they don't have the plan or the coaches to figure out how to formulate the plan. LSU is looking worse and worse as the season progresses. The MSU game was real - that is who LSU is.
