He leaves a tremendous weapon, Russell Shepard on the bench. He continually tries running the option play with Jordan Jefferson at quarterback. This probably is the worst offense i've ever seen at LSU.
When he does play Sheppard its for two or three plays. Let the man at least quarterback a series. I have never been a fan of Les Miles. I predict he will bring LSU back to mediocrity. Some fans are in love with Miles because he backdoored his way into the National Championship Game. I'm not comparing him to any other coach out there. I hope i'm wrong, but I see some very dark days ahead. I still believe Les Miles leaves alot of talent on the bench. He prefers experience over talent and thats stupid to me. Its amazing we don't have a quarterback that can throw the ball up field at least 15 yards. I know crowton is the OC but this is the philosophy of Les Miles. They look like there playing sandlot football every week since the season started.

Thanks for bringing the fan base back to mediocrity. and you had to post on the SEC rant.

Shep was diagnosed with the flu on Friday and he was not ready to play.

I think it was a fair post. There is obvious decline in production, and it concerns him that Miles is the root.

why bring more negativity to a thread when, if you believe in your team unlike that guy, could just as easily helped to show him reasons to still have faith?

m2Pro, Geauxaddai is correct. How dare an LSU fan question the coaching genius of Les Miles? The OP needs to get with the program and bury his head in the sand with the rest of the fanbase.

As I said in another post:

I do not put all blame on JJ and the OL. I put blame on Miles and Crowton.

There's a saying... do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. It's called stupidity (or insanity, take your pick).

IMO, there needs to be changes in the Offensive coaching staff at years' end.

This is getting ridiculous.

Miles was simply playing to keep the game close, not trying to actually win.

So he borrowed Lane's gameplan for UF?

Okay Bert, Crowton and Miles are great offensive coaches. Let's keep them, and keep paying them millions per year.

Also...

how many times, HOW MANY TIMES, do we see 2nd and short, 3rd and short... and here comes the dreaded I-formation, bunch everyone up with, say, maybe one receiver near, defense puts 9 or 10 in the box expecting a run, then hand off up the middle or near tackle to get stuffed.

Very creative, yes. No bootleg, no play action pass, no misdirection, ... no yards.

Big Ten football. It's what Miles is. He probably overrides a lot of the less conservative play calls.

I remember five years ago other teams fans would talk about how they feared LSU because even if they won their team would take a beating physically. Now it's kind of a toss up because you never know if the team will even decide to show up or not.
