I agree with everything you stated. Miles perfer experience over talent. I've been saying this for the last few years. I could name a few players that shouldn't be on the playing field. Russell Shepard is a tremendous weapon. He brings him in the game for a play or two. Shepard gains at least nine or ten yards a play and what does the jackass miles do, leave him on the bench and end up punting the ball a few plays later. Every game the same old shite! He didn't touch the ball against Florida. they claim he had the flu. I've never had faith in Les Miles coaching skills. The man seems to look clueless at times. Yeah he did backdoor his way into a national championship. A lot of fans believe he's the best thing since slice bread. Anybody that knows anything about football can see that our offense looks pathetic.
Our defense is still a little soft for me, but they played good enough to win against Florida.
Missippi State gave us the game two weeks ago. I could go on and on and on. This team never impressed me at all this season so far. You have to be blind to think we're Championship Caliber!
Always will be a LSU fan, but I have to call it like I see it.

Les Miles Really Scares Me.

He leaves a tremendous weapon, Russell Shepard on the bench. He continually tries running the option play with Jordan Jefferson at quarterback. This probably is the worst offense i've ever seen at LSU.
When he does play Sheppard its for two or three plays. Let the man at least quarterback a series. I have never been a fan of Les Miles. I predict he will bring LSU back to mediocrity. Some fans are in love with Miles because he backdoored his way into the National Championship Game. I'm not comparing him to any other coach out there. I hope i'm wrong, but I see some very dark days ahead. I still believe Les Miles leaves alot of talent on the bench. He prefers experience over talent and thats stupid to me. Its amazing we don't have a quarterback that can throw the ball up field at least 15 yards. I know crowton is the OC but this is the philosophy of Les Miles. They look like there playing sandlot football every week since the season started.

I'm a Lsu fan and will always be. I'm just calling it like it is. We will get humiliated win Sec play starts if we play like we did last night. There is know excuses for this kind performance. We're talking about a team that underachieved tremendously last year and is headed down the same road. Something is wrong and I hate to see us going back to the heartache years.

Les Miles really scares me

I've never had faith in les miles even though he's won a national championship. Most of the time his team usually plays down to the level of the competition no matter how inferior the opponent is. I never brag on how good Lsu is going to be with this clown as head coach. Talent can only take you so far. The next thing is how much talent do we think we have. When I look at Lsu in most games under les miles it always seems like a struggle to put a team away. Where is all of this talent. Washington supposedly had know business on the field with LSU. It was embarising
to watch. Make up your excuses but, you need to hold Les Miles accountable sometime.
You're right I'm stupid! It was a dreaming when Darren Mcfadden ran around him for not one but two touchdowns when he was an inch away from him. I was dreaming when JPW (alabama Qb) made him look ridiculous in the open field one on one. I was dreaming when the guy miss two tackles on the same player. I been watching this guy. What have you seen that gives you any inkling of an argument that he can play SEC Football. Never said I was a coach but I know I'm not say anything about LSU Football. Its cool when you go along with the program. When you say something thats perceived to be negative then the harsh name calling begins. Never said I was Les Miles, Chavis or any other coach. Keep thinking you have a solid MLB in Cutrera.
Ethan your right to I know he tries hard and I see that too but the ability is not there. Thats all i'm trying to say. Some LSU fans walk around with blinders on.
Not trying to be a jackass but I bet you he won't be drafted!
That's the scary part who is better than him. If thats all we got to offer than we're in big trouble.
We have all these top recruits the last few years. Man I'm not blaming cutrera, either you have or you don't. Its not his fault at all. I don't go around trying put someone down but this has been eating at me for a long time. Do really think Cutrera would start for damn near any SEC school. If you beleive
that crap then you need your head examined.
Ooh don't say this, don't say that about our players. As a fan I don't sit around and pretend someone is a good when they're not even close. Scary, Scary what some people called good football.
So Cutrera is adequate LB, you must be a moron. I love LSU but I don't put blinders on. Find you some Lsu game footage and then you'll should see what I've seen. No I'm not a coach but I'm not an ignorant football fan either!

One more comment about Cutrera

Posted by Ivan the tiger on 8/24/09 at 9:20 pm
I made a comment about Cutrera's poor performance on the football. Some people on this board feel that its wrong to make negative comments about LSU players. They feel if you say it like it is then your not a true LSU fan. I've been a LSU fan all my life and always will be. If you watch LSU Football the last few years you would know Cutrera is not a good LB. That does not mean he's not a good person because I believe he probably is a nice young man.
What upsets me is all the so called great recruiting classes we've had, why we don't have anybody good enough at the linebacker position thats better than Cutrera? This is the SEC and we need not fool ourselves about certain players starting on a defense that was so suspect last year til it wasn't funny. I'm sorry if anyone take it the wrong way but if you think we're going to be this great defense in 2009 you better consider who we have starting on this unit. I would like to leave you with this analogy. I truly believe we do have players who are better at that position. I think in the Les Miles era at LSU the better player doesn't always see the playing field. I don't care if the guy is a senior or junior etc, play the right people who will give you the best chance at winning. It sickens me sometimes as a LSU fan to watch slow players with no instincts (McCray, Cutrera) whatsoever get on the playing field to battle Florida, Georgia, Alabama,
Auburn etc. The SEC is speed, speed, and more speed. I know LSU has damn good talent all over the place, why not use it. PEACE!

I don't understand how this guy ever got on the field. I've been watching this guy the last few years, No instincts or speed whatsoever. We must be very thin at that position or poor talent evaluation. He's not an SEC caliber LB. I feel bad for saying that but its true.
Damn good post. You have good football sense.
I'm worried and anxious to see how Les Miles and the Tigers will respond after a very dissappointing 2008 season. I really don't know if we have the talent that most people think we have. Remember these are Les Miles recruits that are playing now. Will the defensive coordinator problem be address? I love LSU FOOTBALL but Les Miles make me nervous, I never had
a good feeling about him. Maybe its me being paranoid but he seems lost at times. He never made any key adjustments during this miserable season. Things just went downhill and nothing was ever done about it. I never saw 7-5 coming to be honest. To me it seemed like a wasted season with nothing accomplished.
I'll start with Linebacker. Do we have one decent LB? I think this position hurt us real bad. Quarterback speaks for itself. Our Defensive Line was MIA. Everybody said that was the strongest position on the team coming in this year. No pass rush equates to no secondary. Coaching especially on defense is very suspect. I'm sorry but we took a giant step backwards this year. I hope this was a fluke year for us. I'm really interested in seeing Les Miles coach his recruits because he inherited a whole lot of talent when he came to LSU. Lets see if he can maintain this program. It's going to be very interesting to see what direction this program goes. I'll be honest I'm not a big fan of Les Miles even after he won the National Championship. I always saw a alot of flaws in his coaching on the field. It seems like he refuses to play the better player. I'm a fan and will always be one, this is just my opinion on the state of LSU FOOTBALL.
I'm not trying to bash Les Miles. I just call it the way I see it. I'm a LSU fan and I will always be one. I didn't expect us to go undefeated or win back to back championships but what I witnessed this year
was totally embarrassing. I never viewed Les Miles as a great coach even after we won the National Championship. We underachieved that year as crazy
as it sounds. The Embarrassing losses to Arkansas and Kentucky told me alot about Miles. Just because we are fans doesn't mean we cannot be critical of our team. We should demand greatness.

I'm not a bandwagon LSU Fan. I consider myself a true Tiger. I just call it the way I see it. Les Miles to me is just a average coach who inherited alot of talent. The year they won the National Championship I thought they underachieved under Les Miles. The way they loss to Arkansas and Kentucky was embarrassing. Les Miles seems like a good person but that only goes so far. I didn't expect us to win
another Championship this year but the way we looked this year is a step way back. I don't care what Rivals say about the talent Les Miles recruited. How many Teams this year did we beat with a winning record. I truly hope I'm wrong. Somethings terribly
wrong, I do not want to revisit those dark days of LSU FOOTBALL.
I hope so but the jury is still out on him. I want to see how his recruiting classes fair out. I'm scared when I look at some of these players he recruited. They don't play at a SEC level with the intensity that makes you a top tier team. Don't give Les Miles any free passes. We can't be satisfied with mediocrity. The Team got worst as the season progressed. It really scares me and I don't see anything changing soon. Poor talent evaluation!

Just remember this team got worst instead of better as the season unfolded. To me that's frightening. I really don't believe we have the talent nor the coaching. I see alot of mediocre players on the field. What kind of recruiting has Les Miles been doing?
