I watched it. Auburn is a bunch of racist cracka asses. Even Sir Charles hates you!

Just kidding about the racism WarChickens, but I do think CB does think ya'll are racists!

The sad thing is while this is great for getting headlines it hurts the cause for black headcoaches. It shows that you can't interview a black headcoach and not offer him the job if you do you are labeled racist so what will happen is fewer are interviewed for top jobs.

CB has tarnished his image at Auburn unlike Bo who is revered. I dont believe it was racial it was more of a good ole boy comfort hire [we know chiz he knows us]

OK here's my question, what type of SEC background did Turner Gill have? ZERO!

Chizik had been an ast coach at Auburn and their DC in additon to being the DC for the Texas national championship team, and also had been a head coach in the big 12 for 2 years.

This is a dead issue now IMO. Im an outsider looking it, and I think Auburn's hire of Chizik was the best possible hire for that university.

I agree this is a dead issue. Why the hell is Warde Manuel even concerned about Auburn not hiring Gill, when he needs to concern himself about his own program and keeping Gill at his program?

... And that degenerate gambler Barkley should concern himself with paying off his bad debts.

Great timing ESPN. I only saw the end, but the best line was that Nebraska (where Turner Gill was a great player) didn't hire him one year earlier. However, they did mention at the end that Auburn is 5-0, and Buffalo is 1-4. Why is this story airing today?

I disagree. This became an issue when Auburn hired a coach with a 2-19 record. Had they hired someone with a better resume than Gill we wouldn't be talking about this.

What about Nebraska? What about LSU? What about Bama? What about Tennessee? None of those programs even interviewed a black head coach.

You realize Gill's 2 year record was 7 wins total. This is all about spin people wanting to make it about race when it never was.

What i got out of that story was that Turner Gill is a classy guy who wasn't going to point fingers. He was the only one who didn't try to blame someone for him not getting hired by AU.

We wouldn't have the record we do now, because we wouldn't have Malzahn. We'd most likely have the same record and be in the same boat as Tennessee.
