I hope he is back for the LSU game. Hate to see him go down--he is a tough sob

He was aware of the play that was called. Coach Meyer said he asked if he held onto the ball.

Hopefully he recovers and can play on the 10th...he is a tough kid.

Severe? Damn.
I had a pretty mild concussion a while ago playing HS basketball and was out a couple days and couldn't remember shite.
Of course, I'm not Tebow :p
As much as we joke about hoping he gets hurt, sucks to see this happen.

Hopefully he can play vs LSU, but the team and Coach are confident with Brantley.
His brother Peter is at the hospital with his parents.

I would think it would have to be very serious for him to miss any games.
these things can have lasting and reoccurring effects - Steve Young. Brain injuries are very dangerous.

We have a bye, but depending on the CT he could miss LSU.
For Tebow's sake, I hope they don't rush him back and put him at risk. That looked bad---you could tell he was knocked out.

to timmy hate to see him go down like that

Severe concussions usually last 3-4 weeks some longer.

I had a minor concussion and could not practive for a week. He has a chance to be back for the LSU game, but it depends on how bad it is.

the hit on the knee was what was so bad. I have seen him take hits like that and get right back up.

The flu/respiratory shite can't help either.
Posted on 9/26/09 at 9:49 pm to gatorprincess815
yeah I was a fan of him getting pounced by the d lineman but hitting his head was just bad luck.

Hope he is ok. Tebow is a class act, winner, and good for the SEC.

Tim is a great kid....prayers sent for a full recovery!

I hope that he's ok but I really hope that only the BEST, WISEST judgement is made in letting him play too soon. Hoping he's ok for the 10th BUT if it were my son and there was any "if" or question, I wouldn't want him to play.
I hope that competitiveness doesn't trump a young man's health & life.

New studies over the last two years have found that our current timeline for concussion recoveries is far too short. after 4 weeks nearly 20% of victims still have symptoms from the concussion. I would not be shocked to see him out 3 weeks from this.

Florida will do what is right for Tim. I have all the faith in Brantley.

Get well soon T-bow, I want to see him play the Tigers on the 10th.

It's odd that its being reported that he never lost consciousness and checked with Meyer as to whether or not he lost the ball afterward assuming what you are saying is true GP. I'm no medical professional but at least according to the wiki on concussions all three major classifications state that you must have a loss of consciousness to be deemed "severe"
