Read somewhere about his run it up tendencies last year against teams that DIDN'T piss him off. The implication is that Tennessee will pay in blood and self esteem. Is Meyer as big a coont as Spurrier was?

He really only targeted GA for their dance a thon after their first score in 07.

He can't be blamed for running it up against OSU. They were helpless.

Spurs always said it was the defense's job to stop him.

He just has a massive ego, as pretty much all of the best coaches do

While I have not met Urban I have met Shelley. I don't think she would tolerate an egomanic or a douchebag.

Tebow raves about what type of person Urban is. I tend to trust Tebow.

ETA: I get what you are saying about successful coaches and egos though. I suppose you have to have one to some degree or another.

No such thing as RUTS and this coming from a fan of UT facing UF this weekend. It is the opposing teams job to stop them. My nephew plays for Cumberland University and I don't think they hold anything against GTech.

You can be a great person and have a big ego. I don't think those are mutually exclusive.

I have no problem with a team running their offense and scoring late in a blow out, but if it's late in the fourth quarter and you've got your star QB in their just padding stats against a team I coach, I'm instructing one of my DE to take the 15 yard and blast that son of a bitch Yes, it is the opposing team's defense's job to stop the offense, but there is a difference between letting some of your bench players run the offense and try to score in a blow out and keeping your starters in there to embarras a progam that you have obviously beat.

He may be a douchebag, but I would'nt mind him putting 60 on TENN this weekend. I would respect him a lot more if he did that.

Same here. Anyone that says these are not the 2 best coaches in the SEC needs to take of their glasses.

Well, let me preface this comment by saying we didn't do our job last year so we can't complain, but it seemed to me at least that they ran it up on LSU in Gainesville. Maybe it was just the fact that the cameras kept showing him on the sidelines in the 4th quarter laughing it up, but there sure seemed to be a little too much gloating and celebrating half way through the 4th quarter.
