Somewhat. But he has a good running game to help which he did not last year. We will see soon enough. I keep saying it, but I am waiting until we go to Neyland to see just how we do against a good SEC defense away from home.

He hasn't done anything to lose the game. Often times that's really all you're really looking for. He's nothing special, but hes not the dreggs of the possition some would hae you believe.

It's two games, they've been against inferior opponents. With that said the play at that possition, and in general, was so awful last year that it doesn't take much to give me cause for excitment.

I thought he did well at La. Tech. Kind of average against Miss. St.

I believe he is definately better than he was last year due to his shoulder surgery.

What I'm really impressed about is that he stuck with us after all of the crap he had to go through last year.

I hope he continues to improve.

So he's pretty much playing the same as JP did last year?

no INTs and no sacks

McElroy has 1 INT and has been sacked three times

True but McElroy has been more accurate, and we played against a much much better pass rush than Todd.

CPA, no need to compare him to McElroy. The bammer wasn't flaming or making a comparision, so we should just stick with how Todd is doing.

You have to understand that Miami is a very, very bitter boog.

That is a pretty accurate comparison. He is not making any stupid plays and his arm is much improved over last year. I also have to agree with AU in SoCal, the fact that he stayed after the one coach that really wanted him left, and managed to come back to be the starter says a lot about his character.

He has done average, I expect him to keep progressing as he gets used to the offense and we will pass more...the first two games we didnt even need to throw a pass

Completion percentage is not a good measure. For all I know, he threw to RBs in the flats all day. Todd has been throwing deep routes. This is what LSU fans told me about Russell Shepards % in H.S.

Getting AU fans to not compare everything you do to UA is going to be a tough job.

I am not a boog but I wish Chrisy had three more years to prove himself.

and all you do is compare bama to Auburn. You compare the strength of schedule, you compare Richardson to McCalebb. Go choke on a pig dick.

I thought he looked really good against LaTech. Against MSU he started throwing the ball high - missed several open receivers do to overthrows.

I think one of the biggest things so far is the O-Line hasn't put him in a bad spot. They are blocking well and they aren't moving us backward very often (I'm looking at you Ziemba). I think the first big test will be Saturday against the Neers. Second big test will be on the road in Neyland where it can get loud.

As long as Todd isn't put into a position where he has to carry the load, I think he'll be ok. If we get to a point where he is having to move a lot and throw a lot, we could be in trouble.
