I can't believe the media has gone on a witch hunt this past week for a coach who didn't vote for Tim Tebow on a PRESEASON All-SEC team. It's PRESEASON, it doesn't matter who makes the preseason team. He still made the first team anyway. Who cares if its unanimous!! If it were up to the national media, they would just hand almighty Tebow and the gators the national championship without playing a game. Tebow is not a God. I remember two seasons ago his mighty gators losing four games including losses to mediocre Auburn and Michigan teams in the state of Florida. What do you think his record would be if he was at Miss. State? I'm not ready to hand the title of "Greatest College Football Player Ever" to someone who might be a 3rd string QB playing for the Buffalo Bills next year.

Come back with a thread in mid January and see what your ready to hand over..lol! BTW, while his exposure has reached the saturation point like news over Jako's death he cant control the media...he sells & they buy. Tebow would make any team better. He has a will to win that would spark MSU to new heights!

yeah yeah. i don't think many people AREN'T sick of hearing about Tebow. i can't f'kin wait until he's out of college.

at the same time, to pull a 180 on you here... can you think of ONE person you've been more sick of hearing about in college football?

Let's see, great player, better person, playing QB for the top team in the land. I wonder why the media would be in love with this guy?

No one could possibly really dislike Tebow, it's all jealousy.

Honestly, I am too. I love the guy, and I'm sure glad he's a Gator, but I'm sick of hearing how he's the greatest person alive because he tries to convert people to his religion. I'm sure it makes him happy, but do we need to hear about it all the damn time?

Debating his place among the all-time greats is an interesting discussion though. Impossible, of course, but it's still interesting. We'll see how this year goes.

Phenomenal football player but all the religion business he goes on about makes him seem childish to me.

He's childish for having his convictions? I would argue the opposite. It takes a real man to get up and say "this is what I believe in" when there are jackasses like you who make fun of him at every turn for doing so.

me too. great player, but daaahaam, enough is enough. there is no such thing as the greatest football player ever. i honestly don't think he'll be a QB in the NFL. that is not a knock. he's a great player and a great kid, but he doesn't walk on water.

blame the media, not Tebow. the media loves pimping shite down everybody's throats. I can't even watch the local news without a daily Twitter story now.

exactly.. it's not like Tebow is going around asking for interviews or saying certain things in order to get in the spotlight

yup. you can call him childish or whatever you want. but the fact that it's risky to display your faith publically if you're famous makes him that much bolder and real since he does it...

but seriously, enough of the arse kissing.

here's to him losing at least half of his games this year so no one talks about him as the greatest ever. (provided he still has a great NFL career)

+1 It's hard to hate the guy. Not hard to get tired of hearing about how much better he is than everyone and how great of a person he is.

Yeah, while I can't personally admit to being sick of the hype, I can definitely see how fans of opposing teams would be sick of seeing his mug on television and hearing from everyone how great he is. I'm sure it would grate the shite out of my nerves to have to hear people slobber all over a Dawg or Vol.

He really seems humble and approachable in his interviews. I agree with what everybody is saying about the Media pumping him up.
