I would guess relatively young and relatively naive politically and socially. The general tone of the board is off the charts to the right side of the political spectrum, not simply conservative mind you.

This is preposterous. For one thing, the Cap one features SEC/Big 10, not to mention a Big 10 champ. Lest you forget, our matchup is with 9-3, #18 A&M. Secondly, ESPN is broadcasting Cap one but not the Cotton which means that Cap one gets round the clock national exposure. Let's face, it's a much better matchup.

"play the best opponent possible, anytime, anyplace." In fact, that notion has so dominated this board that one would incur any number of insults for going against it. So 11-1 Michigan St (#8) or 9-3 Texas A&M (#18)? What has happened to the Rant? This should be a no-brainer.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. The field has been replaced. Bigger games? Not too many top ten matchups outside the BCS games. Anyway, if you're concerned about a "big" game, why choose an opponent ranked #19 in a game that holds little or no national interest over an intriguing SEC/Big 10 matchup with a one loss Mich st or Ohio st?
I just found this online: "No more than two teams from a conference may be selected, regardless of whether they are automatic qualifiers or at-large selections, unless two non-champions from the same conference are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the final BCS Standings."

I guess I stand corrected. If AUB loses to SC, and they stay ahead of LSU, we are left out. Can you imagine? And we could possibly be BCS #3 at the time if we jump TCU!

You know, I have just about reached the threshold of what I can take in regard to commercial breaks during a football game. It seemed extra annoying yesterday. I don't watch near as much football on TV anymore for that reason. I was at the game yesterday and many in the crowd started to make some noise during the extra long breaks.
