Alright, since they made it but it looked like they weren't going to, which is all I stated in the first place, I'll make a bet on this one.
Leon will struggle to learn the play book. He'll make a great hit or 2 but never be much of a positive factor. Remember, he flunked out of Florida state and he couldn't get accepted to Oregon b/c his juco classes were completed online.
Winston will get the Bobby Petrino tailback syndrome and blow out one of his legs due to poor training , conditioning, technique or something like all the tailbacks! He'll never be much of a factor due to injuries.

Arkansas never played LSU past 1966 until Arkansas entered the SEC in 1992.
I don't give a frick about head to head matchups that happened in the 1940s, really.
The national rankings from the 70s and 80s show that the SEC and the SWC weren't vastly different. The SEC had 10 teams while the SWC had 8, etc so there's really not a way to make a real head to head comparison, even post integration, and even nationally. The SEC teams never played a full round robin, either.

I would say that when you compare the strength of the 2 conferences in the 70's and 80's you have to consider the SWC went out of business by 1990. That means it was not making money. Fans weren't that interested in it. The SEC has been around a long time too, but it did not go out of business. It's actually thought of today as the strongest conference by most people. Espn just signed this TV deal for several billion dollars or whatever.
Arkansas was a major player in the SWC which is a big part of the reason it went out of business. It's a small player in the SEC and will never accomplish much.

It was a one-state conference.

Arkansas' football stadium capacity and average fan support is closer in size to Florida's than it is to Ole Miss.
Hell, Kentucky has better fan support in football than Ole Miss, and has had more success in the past 7 years.

well okay then answer me this. If:
Arkansas all time is at 48.7% vs the SEC before the merger including bowl games. All of this is still sketchy because according to what you have posted those games prior to 1970 aren't terribly important. If you take those out as well as the bowls vs the SEC, I swear someone posted that bowls prior to 1965 shouldn't count because they were exhibition games, then the number closes again. (regardless I'll keep it starting to merger)
