Has lived up to the hype he received when being recruited?

I say Tebow...Julio may be 2nd, but we have only saw 1 season from him...so time will tell on him.

Brandon Lafell- finally got the light turned on
Brandon Spikes- A team leader and a fearsome player
Rolando McClain- As a sophomore arguably one of the best linebackers in the nation.

Eric Berry was #3 in his class by Rivals, the highest they've ever ranked a defensive back.

I'd say he lived up to it, because he is the best player from the 07 class.

patrick peterson performed pretty well last year for us i reckon. I do admit Julio Jones is UNSTOPPABLE, but PP did a pretty dang good job on him IMO. In my eyes, no way that game is even close without PP blanketing JJ throughout (until that overtime catch!!!! grr)

Good topic, Tebow definitely comes to mind first as surpassing the hype. I'll be a homer here and say Knowshon far exceeded expectations. He was rated the 10th best back by rivals and performed better than everyone ahead of him, with the only real competition being Wells at OSU. Nobody though, even UGA fans, realized he'd turn out as good as he did.

Interesting...I didn't realize Ben Tate was so rated as well as he was.

But to stay on topic Knowshon did live up to his hype as well. He reminds me of Cadillac.

I probably should have rephrased the question to which recent SEC has EXCEEDED expections/hype he received while being recruited.
