Bammers and Boudin

I was working in South Louisiana last week and picked up some Boudin from Broussard's (aka Nu Nu's) in Milton. This morning I thought I would share and brought some to the office and some people who have never had it were making cracks about Cajun food. They said things like "Those Cajuns eat possum and squirrel and all sorts of road kill." Then they tried it and they all loved it. They could not stop talking about it and wanted to know if they could have it shipped.
I believe I may open a stand and make lots and lots of money.
If you haven't tried some Nu Nu's boudin, you really should.
I'll give the Bammers one thing though, they sure can make some sausage in Conecuh County.

Driving down I-65 back from Atlanta a couple of weeks ago, thought there was a fire from a distance. Got up closer and it was the Conecuh sausage factorys smoke blowing across the interstate. Mmmmmmmmm Mmmmmmmm!

Boudin is some of the finest sausage in existence.

About 6 years ago, did a low country boil at Baton Rouge for the Auburn/LSU game, had some Conecuh Co. hot and spicy sausage in it and the LSU people went crazy for it... And for the record, Boudin is one of the 5 foods handed down by God Himself to make man happy, beer is another one.

That is one thing I hate about living on practically fricking rocky top. The food here sucks! Every meal is the exact same. Fried chicken, green beans, mash potatoes, macaroni. No seasoning and heaven forbid the coffee is to dark to see through.
I hate hearing you guys talk about Cajun food.

I make my own, If any of you bama locals are close to Mobile put your orders in. My boudin is almost exactly the same as Billy's in Krotz Springs!

What exactly is Boudin? (asked the dumbass Gump)

Boudin is kinda of like sausage, It is stuffed in a natural casing (precooked) rice based with lots of other tasty meats and veggies (I cant tell you what I put in mine, I want to sell it one day)

Sounds good. I like every other Cajun-type food I've ever eaten. I'm a freak for some spicy Jambalaya.
