I hope these same pix are posted ALL over the AU locker room.....I hope the players have to write "36-0" a million fricking times after practice on the chalk board - EVERY day. They need to remember this: complacency yields mediocrity and results in total meltdowns like we had in 2008.
2009 is time to get the frick back on the bus and all move forward towards re-establishing AU as winner! WEGL.

This is going to be an interesting year no doubt. I can't remember a year where there has been as many uncertainties going in as this year.

Here's a reminder... It's been 10 years since you won anything.
That's a full decade. Good thing all of you other sports have... oh wait. You suck at everything else too.
Have a great day!

I'm sorry I just don't see Au winning more than 6-7 games, if that. Not a flame just looking at your talent and who you lost from last year you will be rebuilding for at least 2-3 years.

Anyone think Auburn pretty much gave up after the Vandy loss? I think they would have cranked out 8 wins if they came out of that one alive.

Just for you.
at Florida LOST 21-51
GEORGIA LOST 38-52
ALABAMA LOST 21-27
MISSISSIPPI LOST 13-31
Arkansas (Fri.) LOST 30-31
Eta - That's averages out your losses to an average of 24-38. Two touchdown average.. wow..

If we could kick PATs both the Vandy game and the UGA game would have been different.
I do think that the Vandy game was pretty much the straw that broke the back, especially with booting Franklin and going back to the Nallsminger offense.
I don't think it would have been a great season, but if Byrum hits the PAT against Vandy, that could have changed the whole season.

I think AU's defense gave up sometime during the season. If you remeber AU jumped out decently against Vandy. There defense allowed them backinto the game and that's when they just said frick it.
AU's offense was lost from the get-go but there defense was what kept them in games (ex. UT) I honestly do believe that if AU's defense had not lost some key players last year and Tubbs could have kept them focused they could have won 7 or 8

Hey look - you may be right. But I don't give a shite about only winning 6 games in the first year if it means that we at least get to once again see aggressive play, creative play-calling, clear teamwork on the sidelines, and pride to wear the uniform. It'll take a couple of years to get the players that are needed to really succeed, but the other stuff has to be the foundation.
That being said, I think our defense will be strong enough to keep us in games again this year. And in my opinion, Caudle will be the surprise guy to step up and start to run Malzahn's system with the help of some decent (although not great) talent on offense. The O-line is thin, but they are coachable; if they can get back to how they performed as the youngest O-line in 2007 (which was pretty damn good) we can win a few games.

LSU still has more 2008 trophies than you do. And we didnt embarrass the conference on national television.

Getting 50 laid on you a couple of times and having to come from 4 td's back against Troy isn't embarrassing to ya?
