I was just reading about the 1942 Cotton Bowl between Alabama and Texas A&M, a game in which the Tide struggled to move the football at all. The stat sheet looked something like this when all was said and done:
Total Yards
Texas A&M - 309
Alabama - 75
First Downs
Texas A&M - 13
Alabama - 1
Passing Yards
Texas A&M - 194
Alabama - 16
Rushing Yards
Texas A&M - 115
Alabama - 59
Final Score
Alabama - 29
Texas A&M - 21
Despite making Alabama punt an astounding 16 times in that game, A&M turned the ball over a staggering 12 times (7 interceptions, 5 fumbles) - which was the difference in the football game.

In like 1958, Auburn held Tennessee to zero first downs.

This is definitely a statistical anomaly as Alabama doesn't get beat like this that often. However, we're talking about games against current SEC opponents. Reading comprehension has never been your strength, I fear, because I'm quite certain Indiana plays in the Big Ten.

In 1980, they played in Auburn and the Tigers were dedicating their new Jordan Hare Stadium addition of 11,000 new seats, new press box and club-level seating. Publicists were billing it as the largest stadium in the state of Alabama, and it was a record crowd of 75,942.
It was only the 2nd time Tennessee played in Auburn, because they usually played the Auburn "Home Games" at Legion Field in Birmingham.
Auburn was ranked 18th in the AP and were 2-0, and Tennessee came in at 1-2 (losing to Georgia and USC and beating Washington State). Auburn fans threw oranges at the UT players as they came onto the field.
Auburn Tailback James Brooks would average 120 rushing yards per game and would go on to be a 1st round draft pick for the San Diego Chargers after the end of the season. Tennessee held him to 36 yards, and Tennessee would win 42-0.
Anyone who doubts the fans throwing oranges can watch around the 4 minute mark of the Youtube Video of the Johnny Majors show and you can see it.

One of my favorites was Mizzou @ Florida in 2014. Florida held Mizzou to 119 total yards of offense.
Mizzou won 42-13

Not SEC but Texas Tech vs Centenary has the goat box score
Texas Tech
-1 yard offense
112 punt return yards on 22 punt returns
39 punts 1,318 yards (Charlie Calhoun, Texas Tech)
Most punts combined both teams: 77 (42 were returned, 19 went out of bounds, 10 were downed, four were blocked, one went for a touchback and another was fair caught.)
Final Score 0-0

Your schtick was never original but it peaked seven years ago and you’ve been chasing the high since.

I can't find it with a cursory Google search but I'd be curious to see the final stats of the 72 Iron Bowl (Punt Bama Punt).
Auburn's only offensive score was a field goal, but two blocked punts returned for touchdowns ended in a 17-16 Auburn win.

That game made it possible to get Pat Dye.
I was not posting to rag on Tennessee, but just pointing out zero first downs and negative yardage is very unusual.
The other anomalous games I can think of were the LSU interception game in 1994 and Punt Bama Punt in 1972.
Not trying to pick at anyone’s team, just pointing out statistically odd games.
