Bad showing today but Michigan is so much better than us. Overall a good tourney run but the curse if no final fours lives on

Dang, they are getting smoked. Alabama put up a better fight and they were missing their second best scorer. Seems like Tennessee is never gonna get over that hump and into a Final 4.

No I agree with you. Solid coach. Solid program but if Barnes has never broken through and got to a final four by now then he never will. Just has to be exhausting if I was a fan.

I’d much rather live in the 2nd weekend of the tournament every year than whatever your program is doing.
Barnes has drawn a 1 seed in the past 3 elite 8s. 2024 Purdue was the clear 2nd best team in the country, same with Houston last year and Michigan is the best team in the country. It is what it is.
Usually you get lucky enough for the bracket to break your way a time or 2. The time it did break our way we lost Zeigler to an ACL injury and the other time we got Cinderella-ed by Sister Jean.

There’s also another decade and half sample size of tourney failures by Barnes lmao. Don’t point out just the last 3 years acting like Tennessee got a bad draw or something.

We lost ZZ to an ACL when we lost to FAU. Zero backup pg on that team. And no, that FAU team had serious talent. Look where their guys ended up in the portal.

Tbh its not annoying that we didnt make it to the final 4 these last 3 years. We lost to better teams. It’s frustrating we didn’t go in 2019. That was our year to do it
