SEC baseball is back in Swayze for a beautiful weekend set starting at 7 tonight.

Kentucky is good. Texas was good. Everybody is good. We have to be slightly better. We need to win this series to stay in the hunt for a Host. (I know it's early but it is what it is).

Ole Miss starting pitcher Cade Townsend is day-to-day with mild shoulder inflammation after exiting his March 14, 2026, start against Texas with discomfort. An MRI came back clean, and he has begun rehab/throwing, bringing positive news for the Rebels.

We need Townsend. That's all there is to it.

No Game 2 starter has been announced. But I would be surprised if we see him. Except maybe in relief for an inning or two.

They better come to play or they’ll get swept

The offense has been stinking it up too except for like 2 people. Not much we are doing well at the moment

I think we get 1 of the 3 .

I agree, which is why he should sit and heal. If it were me, I would put Hudson Calhoun in to start game 2.

Elliott is dealing.

Someone other than Bissetta is gonna have to hit the baseball

ETA: He is now 2-3 with 2 HR and all 3 of our RBI

Keep up the groin whip through the weekend. Kentucky has gotten a little too big for their britches.

Just go ahead and wave the white flag tonight. Our fielding is complete shite and their ace has 30 pitches through 4 innings.

The feast or famine offensive philosophy is our downfall

We do not move runners station to station.

It’s home run or strikeout .

For the life of me I cannot understand why he is in the lineup. He's a career .240 hitter with no power and below average fielding skills.

Only thing I can think of is that 2 years in a row all of our transfer targets bailed on us at the last minute and we got left holding the bag. If he's still the starter next season it's a fireable offense

Like I said earlier. Our philosophy for years has been “swing for the fences”. Even Kellum said it last night in the final at bat that the freshman is hoping for his first home run of his college career. Why are we always hoping for home runs while teams beat us by getting on base?

Bianco has gotta stop tinkering with the outfield lineup and just leave Pacella in.
