Since the SEC now cares about shooty hoops, what are your rules of thumb when picking teams in your bracket to ensure you win whatever bracket challenge youre in?

Can be something like uniform preference or some obscure statistic like how many felonies a team had in the last 3 years

Mine
-When in doubt go with a big east team
-Iowa state and Michigan state can go far but are not to be selected as a champion
-teams that celebrate final fours instead of championships should not be considered title contenders
-choklahoma is not to be picked after the first round (you all hurt my bracket many years ago)
-a blue blood should be present in the final four based on refs help alone
-UK wins it all. Either this proves a huge boon for me or it wrecks my bracket and UK losing means the whole thing is pointless anyway

“12-5 upset”

Total of seeds to final four should not exceed 12 (1+2+4+4=11)

I will always have a what my heart wants bracket (always UK winning) and a more realistic, analytical bracket.

Do not pick MU to win more than 1 game at best.

I never listen to that advice but it's played out year after year.

My rule is dont talk or post about them unless asked because most people give zero fricks how your bracket is doing. This goes to your fantasy leagues as well.

UK is my darkhorse contender. At least sweet 16 and maybe deeper run than that.

The champion is likely 1 of the 6: Florida, Mich, Duke, Arizona, Uconn, Houston. That parts easy based on metrics. As for the winner, I'm going Florida just because.

Pretty good strategy.

Went back and looked since everyone kept saying how chalky last year was. Since 2000, the average total seeding of the 4 teams in final 4 is like 10.6. Highest was 27 and lowest was 4
