TL;dr guy thinks he’s a third-round talent who’ll get taken in the second round because it’s a weak QB group. If you want his reasoning, he provides specific examples with accompanying film clips.

Posted because he’s certainly going against the grain. Link is from Archive Today so it should get past the paywall.

Teams hardly take qb in the 2nd anymore. QB is such a value position that if you would take them in the 2nd you go ahead and take them late in the 1st so you get an extra year of contract control.

I’d be shocked if he doesn’t go in the 1st

Agreed. Posted just for discussion purposes and as noted because the guy at least tries to make a case rather than just mouthing off. But you know what they say about opinions …

For sure, definitely an interesting read. Most of what we’ve heard out of the combine and post combine has all been good stuff. It’s a good year for Ty to come out. And thankfully it seems like most of the teams rumored for him are solid franchises and not Browns/ Jets /etc

Imagine any of our QB's without a running game, it's hard to even consider.

I’ll read the full article, and only skipped through it.

But the criticisms I saw were inconsequential things that he’ll easily clean up in the NFL.

More than one analyst has said there's very little separating Ty and Mendoza.

Yet it's just universally accepted Mendoza is the top pick while Ty is a 3rd rounder? Stupid.

I think he goes late in the 1st round...some team might move up from the 2nd round to get the fifth year option. Just hope he goes somewhere legit not named Cleveland.

I look for Ty to improve in a different setting and coaches.

Absolutely. I just hope he doesn't go to any team that isn't serious about winning like Cleveland, or the Jets. Those two teams are where careers go to die.

Ty is going in the first round. He’s no worse than 3rd best and the average NFL draft has 3.8 QBs in it.

He absolutely is. 2nd or 3rd QB taken.
