The whole thing of players running around with basically shorts on has gotten completely out of hand. To me, the real question is will the NCAA really crack down on this and the crop top jersey thing? They had said they were going to crack down on that a few years ago but nothing came of it.
We'll see.

Some local judge in College Station, TX is going to rule the NCAA doesn’t have the authority to prevent the Texas A&M players and cheerleaders from wearing only banana hammocks and pierced nipples.

It’s a player safety issue. Not only does it look stupid, but you are allowing players to play without what little protection the knee pads in football pants that fit give. I know its not much but even in high school ball I wanted something covering my knee so it wasn’t my bare knee hitting the ground. Can you imagine players doing that on astroturf? Their knees would look like hamburger meat by the end of the game.
