Going to be a great meet!

I just hope it's scored fairly and consistently.

If I tune in to gymnastics, it has nothing to do with competitive sports....

Pretty badass.

All I'll add is this thread, about a competition in 24 hours, resulting in all of the LSU fans worrying/ pre-melting about cheating refs....well it checks out.

The SEC is loaded in Gymnastics,

Bama is number 3
Florida is 4
Georgia is 6
Arkansas 7
Mizzou 8

The hate is because OU (Overscored University) gets a 9.9 for just walking onto the mat without even doing a trick. It's the judges not OU's fault, but gymnastic judges go into a meet deciding who they think should win based on reputation and it affects how they vote. Same thing in skating, if you watched the Olympics.

I know everybody says all LSU fans do is gripe about the refs but just once in one sport it would be nice if there was SOME impartiality.

OU beat all those teams except Arky who we haven’t faced yet. We beat LSU in a 4 team meet earlier in season - was a tie but they use the 6th gymnast to break ties and OU won.

This should be a good meet.

Here’s rankings of each specialty

I would just like to see some consistency in the judging. I'm not expecting it, especially considering that the meet is at OU.

Some of the LSU fans are the worst ref complainers in any sport. Football is all about ref bitching too.

This is another pre-ref meltdown so if you lose you’ll blame the refs.

Can’t recall that I’ve ever seen a “good game” post its always ref blaming when losing.

Pretty much everyone sees the bias but OU fans.

So what is your theory on why the judges show bias for OU?

Another poster explained it in this thread already.

Again... WHY do the judges do this? What is their motivation for deciding who they think should win...Does the "reputation of the team" bias occur for other teams... or just OU.

For instance... does LSU get this same bias when they they have the best reputation?

There is absolutely no logic to this, it is insane. Is this common for LSU fans?
