The 2 black ladies using the Express Pass at the last second was a good move on their part but really a dick move when they seemed to be forming an alliance with the other couple.
Yeah, that annoyed me as well. I get it, if you choose to use the express pass, even after agreeing to form an alliance for that task, but at least have the courtesy to let the other team know that you're leaving instead of just disappearing on them!
I found myself actively rooting against them for the rest of the episode, and probably for the show. I was hoping they'd get eliminated last night. They also seem to piggyback off of others quite a bit, following people instead of navigating.

The Amazing Race - Season 39

Anyone watch last night?
I love that there are no reality "stars" on it.
I really like the Grandfather and Grandson team. For 72, that dude's a beast.
The lady with the bloody nose and her husband were pretty annoying!
And I'm glad the couple that came in last made it - I like them as well.
Also, the 25th Anniversary Special that aired on Wednesday night was pretty well done. I enjoyed seeing how things were done and reliving some of the older shows!

Where the hell are you ordering a medium two topping pizza and bites for $17.99 without some kind of a discount or code? That’s just stupid.

Enjoyable first episode.
Spoilers......
I liked the twist with only picking 2 Traitors and letting the 2 pick the 3rd.
It seems to me that one of the Traitors will talk himself into revealing himself.

This is what I was waiting for - thanks for posting!

Yes, I went yesterday and everything was great!
I had the Pork Xiao Long Bao, the Pan Fried Pork Buns, and the Steamed Shrimp and Pork Dumplings. All house-made and all delicious! A little pricey, but what isn't nowadays? These were each $11.95 or $12.95.
There were a LOT of things on the menu that I'd like to try.
Service was good, especially on Day 1 and a soft-opening. I'll be back, since, like you said, Dumpling and Bao is so far away from me.

re: Would a JD5 apology to LSU fix this?

To me, it would depend on how he said it and what he said, I guess.
Done!
I'll try to remember to come back and vote again; it says you can vote daily.
Good Luck!

That's pretty damn funny.
Please report back and let us know where y'all went, and your group's reactions!
My choice in BR would be Elsie's or Parrain's. Like others said, Chimes LSU will be crazy with new students moving in this weekend.

New NIL deal language starting today
Posted by dchotard on 8/13/26 at 11:05 am
I'm certainly not a legal expert, but I'm sure schools are talking with their lawyers and will now have some kind of sentence inserted in every NIL deal starting today, to the effect of, "...while _____ (student) is enrolled in _____ (school)."

Elsie's Plate and Pie. Their big plate seafood platter is the best fried seafood in town imo at the best price.
Agreed. They're not known for their seafood at all, but their fried shrimp and fish are excellent!
Living in Mid-City, I’m glad it’s being redeveloped.
