Showed a lot of heart on the road, very resilient team. Was impressed with the tenacity

Well, the result sucked, but it is what it is.
See y'all in Rupp.

Effort wasn't our problem. Missing shots around the rim was. We'll see what happens in Rupp.

Congrats on the W Gators. See y'all for Rd 2 in a couple of weeks here.

You’ll get the refs even more in Rupp. I expect to lose there in a frustrating game. Is what it is.

Florida fans and Kentucky fans blame the refs more than anyone. It’s comical, really. Both teams are undefeated if it wasn’t for the refs.

LSU fans exist so no.

Consistent effort has been a huge problem with these Cats. And consistent coaching.
If they'll just play and coach like today - the rest of the way ? Good enough for me. They hung in with a Final Four team on the road. Play like that the rest of the way.

I think pope deserves credit for that. He might not be what Kentucky wants or needs due to the expectations but he’s done a solid job the last 10 games at the very least imo. Might not be good enough to cut it at UK but still commendable on his part ino

I thought you played well in the 2nd half. Did not see kids quitting nor not caring.

Agreed. But I will not ignore the first 15 or so games. Or the fact that he put this roster together. Or that he looked, acted, and talked "shell shocked" through half the season.
My opinion doesn't matter - Mitch Barnhart is the only guy who's opinion matters. Regardless - I'm decidedly undecided about Mark Pope.

He would be fine coaching, but his personnel choices this year, and lack of recruits for next year shows he needs a GM.

He does make good halftime adjustments but needs to do better having his team ready in the first half. Maybe needs some better people scouting.
No doubt he overpaid for some guys but the big hammer is the injuries. Quaintance would have been a good matchup inside.
Sometimes, the other guy is just better than you. Today Florida was. At least we went down fighting. Maybe next time will be our day.
