We just had a 2.8 with the epicenter about 5 miles across the lake from my house. Two big booms and everything shook.

That was nuts. I’m glad that doesn’t happen all the time. That’s the 2nd one I’ve felt. The first was the VA quake that shook all the way down here.

It was just Stacy Abrams falling out of her chair after Trump announced that the Abrams tanks were named after her.

I live near an active rock quarry and when they blast, almost daily, the whole house shakes.

You'll be fine with a 2.5 a couple times a decade.

Vulcan, same as by my house in Gwinny. But I grew in Kennesaw. I know exactly what quarry you are talking about.

Is Wild Man still in business, and can you go tomorrow and take some pics and post them here?

He died a few years back. His store is still downtown, next door to where Whistle Stop Cafe used to be before the fire, but I don't think it's open for business.

Went through a 6.5 in Afghanistan and a 7 off the coast of Guam. Weirdest experience I've ever had.

I am about 25 miles from Redstone Arsenal in North Alabama. Several of the military contractors here specialize in explosives and test them on the Arsenal. We sometimes have days where we have explosive tests off and on every day. We don't hear the explosions but get ground-shaking rumbles and noise several times a day. Feels and sounds similar to earthquakes and the house rattles. Sometimes I'm riding one of my horses and the horse gets all nervous. I've been on the lake nearby and see the water ripple when they occur,
