OU/Mizzou/MSST/Arky/FL do the heaviest lifting for SEC. Rankings are end of year final ranks.

Side note, SEC is making a big mistake going to 9 games. Most pundits and rankers never watch games and only look at loss count. You took an OOC likely 16 wins away and replaced with 8 losses. But rankers will penalize conference and with SEC so deep the parity will hurt not help.

You also eliminate 16 OOC games that are useful in determining conf strength.

Fun schedule for OSU:

at Texas
at Indiana
at USC
vs. Michigan
vs. Oregon

Even at Iowa is no picnic.

Going into 2025 it was supposed to be a hard schedule too

Had #1 and #2 at home pre-season in Texas and PSU had a top 10 Ill on the road and a top 15 Michigan on the road

On one hand, lol. On the other hand, what did State do to deserve these schedules?

Or go to dynamic scheduling of the top teams from previous year playing each other and the bottom playing the bottom. If the CFP expands to 16, it's not like certain teams with 3 losses at the top will be affected by any committee selection.

Or do similar except top 8 teams play bottom 8 teams. That way you have to fight and earn your way to top.

One note, using last years final rankings - every year there are comers and goers. So this will change once play starts in fall. It depends on each team how many good players lost to NFL/portal and if they replaced them with good portal plus new incoming class. And some bottom 8 teams that maybe were just lacking a few positions fixed them and rise.

Didn't they just put a team in the National Championship game?
