Says he’s getting into coaching. Wonder if we would look at him as an analyst or if he’ll stay at the pro level.

He should do this if at all possible. If you have the choice between coaching high school or college, choose college. If you have the choice between college or the NFL, choose the NFL.

I'd think being a college coach (even if it's a position coach) would be hell right now with the portal and kids chasing payouts yearly. There is some semblance of an offseason in the NFL.

High school ball can be really rewarding, you just can't gauge success in wins or how many kids you put in the league.
I look back and hope and pray that:
1. I developed boys into quality young men that will go be the salt and the light.
2. I taught the game right, tried to coach fundamentals, stayed innovative with schemes, and helped them have fun with it.
3. Taught them there's a much bigger game to win than just the one we play on a given Friday.

I hope I was able to do that.... didn't get rich as a coach. In 22 years probably had maybe a couple of dozen that played beyond HS at some level.
A couple were able to play at a high major.
But I love to see them come back home and husbands and professionals and they are living out the ideals we tried to instill in them.
That's success at this level.
College and pro is a lot more about the talent and the money. Always thought it would be cool to coach at that level but never really had the chance.. and that's cool.
Big Dan would make a heck of an O-line coach! Best of luck to him!
