Agreed in the case for Auburn as well. We’ll likely fall to 3-4 in conference play after Saturday… winning in Gainesville seems like a stretch. But we’ll have played teams, 1, 2, and 3 in the SEC already on this list during our first 7 games.
With games still remaining against the 11, 13, 14, 15, and 16 teams in the SEC according to how they’ve played so far, I like our chances to finish strong.

If we could find even a bit more defense, we could make an Elite 8 run... but I agree, I think the Sweet 16 is our ceiling at the moment. We just give up too many points, which means a slightly off day shooting is a loss against above-average competition.
That said, I'm more surprised by Vandy's collapse. Two of the games were on the road, sure, but the Arkansas loss was just brutal.

I think teams take longer to gel with all the roster movement now. There are at least half a dozen teams that can make a run. I think Kentucky will be dangerous come late February, and Arkansas hasn't scratched the surface, but it remains to be seen if Cal can get the potential out of them. Gator guards are playing better, and settling into their roles, but we still have a ways to go.
