Do teams from Nil era forward get an asterisk by their ship?

When you can buy a ship within a couple years should it really count? They didn't have to fight for it like Bama teams of old.

why would there be an asterisk for playing by the rules?
if anything, every championship before NIL should have an asterisk because those were bought before it was legal.

These championships are way more legit than any won in a long time. Those championships were all won by top 5 recruiting classes that were bought against the rules. Now that everything is legit, there is a level playing field
