Post your prediction on Lane Kiffin's future at LSU for posterity's sake:

1. He brings multi-natties to LSU and does as well as Kirby Smart has at Georgia (or better).

2. He gets LSU to a NC Game (maybe wins one).

3. Gets LSU close to the playoffs a time or two but never makes a deep run.

4. Does as good as Kelly or a little better (may as well have stayed at Ole Miss). Gets fired at 5 years or longer.

5. An obvious bust and gets fired relatively quickly (less than 5 years).

Will be interesting to come back in a few years and see where you stood.

In the meantime, I'll tally as time permits.

ETA: Ambiguous predictions will go towards the middle.

Either 1 or 2

2 maybe because Miami is building a dynasty that could slow lsu down but lsu could conversely do the same to Miami

8-4, year 1 then competes afterward.

Will put LSU in the hunt and that's all you can ask for.

I think it's probably 2 and maybe even a little below that. He's gonna have to show me that he's gonna coach the games like the head coach of top program and not like he's playing Madden before I can just jump in and say he's going to win a national championship.

It's fascinating that Ole Miss fans believe Kiffin will epically fail at LSU simply because he left them.

100%

He won a lot of games at Ole Miss but those were some pretty weak schedules.

Ideally, he should have more talent at LSU, but he's also going to play tougher opponents, generally.

2 is his floor. First year is going to be rough as we dig ourselves out of the hole Kelly put us in. Not sure anyone can be a 1 in today’s NIL environment.

ETA: 2 is the most realistic prediction. I’ll go with that
