Because at the rate of the transfers coming in and out every year just go ahead put the number on the helmet and be done with it. Start calling everyone by number only , no need for name on back because it will probably change from year to year. Crazy times.

How can any program at this point in time develop any fan following of a particular athlete with them all having one foot out the door at season's end? How exhausting having to not only chase replacement positions but also having to re-recruit guys who are currently on the team.

Especially when they go Pro? Are the days of an athlete associated to a particular school officially gone?

Bo Jackson - Auburn great
Joe Montana - Notre Dame great
Herschel Walker - Georgia great

Is all this over? Because if it is, that really sucks. If you have any affection or appreciate the nostalgia of college football the potential absence of this hits hard.

If you haven’t yet figured out that the answer is YES, then you soon will.

Those people remaining who cheer this schitt are just rooting for laundry

And on top of all that, I don't see school records being broken going forward, either.

Whoever holds your school's record for passing, for example is in no threat of potentially having that record broken, ever. Single season maybe but thats it.

If the NFL sticks with the tradition of introducing players who name their college, then pregame needs to expand to three hours.

This pisses me off. Used to be you'd start following a recruit from their junior year of hs all the way through his career. That was fun. Now you don't know half the starters on your team bc they played for someone else a year ago. And might play for someone else the following year at that.

I take it he didn't actually go to LSU? Or maybe even grade school?
