Ole Miss fans are you ok with Golding going forward or do you wish you got a proven coach?

Now that this season is over, yall had a great season and should be really proud of what yall did.
Going forward to 2026 season, are yall comfortable with Golding going forward or do yall wish yall hired a more proven head coach?

They know Golding is a bandaid for two years

Dude has only coached 3 games and already won 2 playoff games. Name a better percentage

That would be more impressive in the old college football playoff format. Not so much anymore. One of those teams was Tulane.

He was a band-aid in a whacky situation, don’t think any of us thought he was definitely a long-term answer. He’ll have the chance to prove himself next season - make the playoffs again as the HC a full year removed from Lane’s departure, and he’ll get a contract

Young coach, lots of energy, great recruiter, and his players love him. I’d be satisfied with the hire.
If I were an Ole Miss fan, give me a reason not to happy and optimistic?

Golding calling timeouts for Miami at the end should be a friable offense.

He was born on third base

Those timeouts allowing Miami to run their whole playbook was Les Miles like.

If you think Ole Miss is going to the playoffs next year then you don’t know who Golding is. To the point where I wonder if you’ve ever even heard of him. He’s a fat sloppy drunk that is widely regarded as the worst DC in the conference. At multiple stops

So would you rather have Sumerall? Golesh? You think they will be in the playoffs over the next 3 years? Will Stein?
I'm more satisfied with our current staff than care about a name hire.. I think he will do better than expected if we get Chambliss back and we should.. Ole Miss will make another run next year

He didn't build that team or find and hire the assistants coaching it. He was just cruise controlling what Lane built, at the end of the year. And CWJ was a huge impact on the season. Time will tell if Golding will be worth a shite as a HC. After he's had to run the whole show for a year or so and not leaning on Lane's recruits, offensive system, and persona for recruiting.
