Well, how 'bout them Miami Hurricanes takin' on the Ole Miss Rebels in this here Fiesta Bowl dust-up, where the winner gets a ticket to the big dance and the loser's headin' home to lick their wounds. Down in Oxford, them Rebs have been hollerin' "Hotty Toddy" all season long with that high-powered offense led by their gunslingin' quarterback, lookin' to landshark their way through anybody in sight. But over in Coral Gables, the Canes are stirrin' up a category-five storm with speed that'll make ya dizzy and a defense that's meaner than a junkyard dog. Ole Miss mighta rolled through most folks this year, but tonight in Glendale, the Hurricanes are gonna blow right through 'em like a bad weather front. Leonard's loser: the Ole Miss Rebels.

Leonard retired in 1994 but someone is attempting to revive the show. The weekly "shows" in the link sound similar to the segments we'd hear on sports radio shows once a week. He's about as accurate as the original Leonard, which isn't very.

Leonard's Losers was a fixture on Saturday mornings during football season in the 70s. Who really cares whether he was right or wrong with his picks - it was entertaining to listen to.

And now, a prediction from Nostradamus (via Grok):
In the desert's fiery bowl beneath the western sky,
The cane from southern seas shall whip the rebel high.
With storm-born fury green and orange shall prevail,
The landshark's bite grows dull, its crimson banners pale.
Thus spake the seer: the Hurricanes of Miami rise victorious over the Rebels of Ole Miss on this fateful day.

He also had some print media that were usually found in restaurants, liquor stores and bars.
He was a treasure.

He was a treasure! If I remember right, his son took it over for a short period after his death, but it was never the same.
Didn’t he have a printed version too, or was in just in the local papers?

Mentioned above he had a print version that had local advertising and you could pick them up for free at restaurants, liquor stores and bars.
Found some of these on E bay, don't want to go through all the mess to post a pic but here's his pick on the Indiana St vs Drake game. For you young'ens just imagine this being read by a heavy Southern accent and that would be his radio show..
Dick Jamieson has his Sycamores standing strong and tall during their second growing season, and they should be able to withstand considerable wind pressure before being uprooted this fall., but I don't think these young saplings will be ready for Chuck Shelton's Bulldogs. These K-9's from Des Moines have very weak kidneys and when they get surrounded by trees nature will surely take it's course.
