I'm still in a survivor pool worth some good dough if I can keep it up.

Obviously, LA Rams will be the top pick this week.

What game would you be on and why? Stra8ght up. No spread. Details people.

Originally I wanted to fade the presumed most picked team, the Rams and go with New England.

But now I'm scaring myself by seeing they had the 30th hardest schedule in the league. Are they a phony 2 seed? No playoff experience (outside of the coach). Are they ready?

If I HAD to pick somebody other than the Rams it would be the Pats or Texans….probably Texans as their defense is really good and I haven’t been impressed with the Steelers at the end of the season. They barely beat Baltimore, lost to Cleveland and their last few wins have been against bad teams.

At this stage it’s a coin flip.

The Stillers really like losing in the first round of the playoffs, too. 0 for the last 5, I think.

I wouldn't touch the Chargers/Pats game with a 50 foot pole. I think New England is better, but they've played a soft schedule and QBs making their first career playoff starts (Drake Maye) do not have good records in the last 25 years or so.

Packers/Bears - Rivalry game, wouldn't touch this either

Bills/Jags - Bills as a road favorite will be a popular pick straight up this week, but their run defense is absolutely atrocious. Something like 30th in the league. That doesn't translate well to playoff football.

Texans/Steelers - Houston is better, but I'm not confidently picking against Aaron Rodgers in a home playoff game. Also, Pittsburgh has not lost a home Monday night game since before the Texans were founded.

49ers/Eagles - If you're looking to avoid the Rams, I'd probably go here. Like New England, San Francisco has a GREAT coach but has played a really, really soft schedule. The 49ers are beat to hell and back. Ton of injuries. I also think the Eagles have another gear they're about to get to; they have seemed like a bored team waiting for the playoffs to start.

That said, I'd go with the Rams. I have learned a lesson over the years. Don't overthink survivor pools. Just try to get to the next week. Yeah, Carolina beat the Rams a few weeks ago, but that was a west coast team playing a 1:00 EST kickoff. I don't think they'll screw around with this one. They're going to beat Carolina's arse.

Agree. Trying to get cute with survivor pools will put you on the sideline fast.

I got nuked in week 5 of our Survivor Pool and ended up winning the season by 1 game in the regular pool.

Appreciate all the responses.

Ill post back here what I decide.

This pool started with over 800 picks. 22 remain.

My gut said to fade the Rams. Head sa7d they won't lose.

Let's go Stafford! Do this thing baby.

Horrible decision by McKay to not kick the FG on 4th andc3 changed the game dramatically.

Yessssssss

Very exciting finish.

LA outplayed them for 75% ofvthe game and a few little things here and there kept it close.

Either way 18 of us move on!

Go Chargers!!
