Im not sure which went worse, Auburns season or my life. It brought me closer to God than ever so it works out. I've finally moved but its so different I havent unpacked. Im gonna start on that tonight and work harder so 2026 is gonna be our year! I expect Auburn Football to do the same. Until they prove otherwise Auburn is playoff bound next year!!!!
What is your New year's traditions that you do?
What is your New Years resolution?
Mine is gonna be start back running.

Happy New Year!!

Drop at least 30 pounds this year.

Dealing with In-law issues as she is 93 so hoping that eases out in the New Year.

Here's to a much better New Year for you, sir.

My New Years tradition now appears to be guessing what time we go to bed and how close it is to midnight.

When the kids were growing up we used to do the "polar bear" plunge every New Years day & send a pic...

I imagine that pool is close to a cold plunge right now...

And I thought my setup was nice. In comparison, it is not.

Yea, I cleaned the pool today and the water temp is 66. I have not been running the heater because we have all been busy and sick last week.

We will have the hot tub running in a few hours. Takes about a hour to get it up to temp from the 60’s.

I may turn the heater on next week. We are all about well and would use the pool.

I’ve had a couple of hard resets in my life. Challenging in the moment but the best thing that’s happened to me

In general, January is my favorite month. No big holidays, no travel (for me), and nobody really expects you to do much.

No baller. LOL. But our lanai and pool area is our best part of our home in my opinion. I saved for years and spent my money well out there. And it was worth it. I spend all
My time out here. Outdoor kitchen, pool, spa and led lighting. I found this patio furniture on marketplace in Tampa a few months back. Wicker sectional and a fire table. I can’t have a real fire pit. Just no space. The gas table works good for us. Functional.

My outdoor kitchen was the real expense. But like I said. It was worth it.

I will live here till I die or I can’t afford it.

My New Years tradition is making a steak dinner for my Dad who will celebrate his 83rd birthday tomorrow. He graduated from Auburn 60 years ago and loves Auburn with every fiber of his being just as I do.
My resolution is to have my bad hip replaced so that I can get rid of my walker.
I wish all members of the Auburn family a happy and prosperous 2026.

You have no idea how much this moved me. My dad would always tell me how to season them and at what temp/time to grill them. I never followed his directions but he would give himself some credit on the outcome. He passed in 2017.

Cherish it.

Great tradition. I miss my Dad & think back fondly before he died. I miss his humor.
