LOL. That would be boring AF. And I would suck at it. One of my wifes friends from the hospital is some kind of TikTok specialist. Dude has mode more money than most on TikTok doing some of the dumbest shite you can imagine. He wants to set up a camera and account to watch me paint and build spinnerbaits.
He said people would watch all day and buy shite. He is pissed that I am not interested. Now this is from a guy who was making about 3K a month two nights a week getting paid by people to watch him scratch off lottery tickets on TikTok.
Who would watch and pay for that?

Fishing is like bowling, tennis, and golf in that it’s fun to do but dreadful to watch.

I remember a co-worker one day talking about having $100 on a Tuesday night womens college basketball game between like W. Michigan and Illinois St. or something like that and it was going to get him even for the week.

As for fishing, I like the idea of it and would love to be better at it. I grew up fishing in my grandpa's overstocked pond and that was easy and fun. Now I try to fish in a couple lakes every now and then and I am lucky if I get a bite.

I disagree with Tennis and Golf. Both are fun to watch on TV. Entertaining anyway\\\
Fishing on the other hand, is boring AF to watch and I have said it for years and years, its limitations are that it is not s sport and not a spectator activity past the few select people doing it

I dont mind doing product reviews. I have done them and if you know how to find me, I have Youtube videos out there.
What our friend is wanting me to do is to do live video from my shop during the day of my painting, building and clearcoating spinnerbatis. Basically day to day work in the shop.
My issue with that is that my painting process is very different than what others do and I am not interested in sharing that.

I don't know why you are laughing it off. There are several YouTube channels that live broadcast their tying of fly fishing lures. Their channels have a solid following. Hell, I know shite about fly fishing and have sat there for an hour watching them do their thing on several occasions. You may think its boring but there are tons of people who are interested in learning

If you want to pay me enough, Id let you watch me watch TV or take a shite. I am not worried about those processes. But my painting process is not something I want others understanding. Part of it is what makes my product different than others.
I am not going to share that for a few hundy in TikTok revenue.

I just remember about 40 years ago flipping the three channels on the TV and I believe it was Bill Dance. He hooked a water moccasin, pulled it off his hook, looked at the camera.....and threw it in the boat with the camera crew.

Bill did some very funny blooper videos. Most of them were fake but were still funny.
Dude was a icon no matter how much I hated his show. In all, I am not a fishing show guy. I dont really know how people watch them and I have done a few. Unless you are a die hard fisherman who has nothing else to do, Id rather watch reruns of friends.
Except for "Living the Dream" show out of west Florida. I never miss an episode of Captain Jimmy Nelson and his wife Luiza. Especially the scalloping shows.
