What’s the adult equivalent of finding out Santa isn’t real?

For me, it was realizing my parents are real people with failings of their own. And then they started to age and got old & feeble. No one told me growing up would be like this.

Thinking you have engines for life on a car you bought only to find out you had to have this special service done every 12K or once a year.
Convenient of them to not explain that a service they recommend has something to do with your engines for life warranty.

Dealership and Factory met me half way I only had to pay half.
