AI Overview
Cajuns aren't inherently less educated, but historical discrimination, poverty, and an English-only education system in Louisiana created barriers, leading to lower educational attainment in the past, though many Cajuns are highly resourceful and intelligent; today, with better access, many are attending college, but the legacy of educational neglect persists, with Louisiana still facing lower-than-average education stats, while Cajuns themselves often possess strong "common sense" and practical skills.

In other words, they do sports well and when that's over they move back into the swamp in a house on stilts.

You know, now that you mention it..it kind of would explain the enamored zeal for night games.

Electrification of the bayou was probably a really big deal in the 1980's "We like to play at night, when the lights are on, afer dark, at night !"

Listening to the exploits of Tiger greats like Dalton Hilliard, and Tommy Hodson was probably sketchy on a battery AM radio too.

I can feel the pain in every word that you typed in your novel. It’s gonna get a lot worse before it gets better. Tic Toc 1/2/26 comes at you fast

I can attest this although it’s not super insightful given that AM was the only way to get the games 90% of the time. WJBO IIRC!

It's humiliating. They even had to loan us their coaches so we could finish out the season.
